How to install cognitive radio patch and its attacking and detecting patches with related to NS-2.35
I've long wanted to delve into these methods of HD manipulation but here's the thing: I only have 1 hard drive -- a 1TB, and the more I read the more it seems the main point of using these techniques is to utilize that extra layer of abstraction to bridge HDD's in some version of a RAID setup.
Of course I've also read the performance is better, along with snapshot capability, on-the-fly partition resizing, striping, etc. These prospects excite me. So finally, two questions:
1) With just one physical drive, is it worth creating a new partition table to include these technologies?
2) With all of the above methods, there is no way I can keep the data on any part of this PV if I want to venture into LVM, ZFS or Btrfs, correct?
p.s. I've got 12 partitions (one swap, one extended, one very large one logical partition that serves the 9 linux distros which fill the remaining partitions as a hold of media, documents, music, etc.
I have a typical requirement, I want to have a converter module, that can convert UDP packet to TCP packet. And I need to do it before the packet can be processed in IP layer.
I will explain this complete scenario using an example
Lets say we have 3 machines A, B and C.
A sent an UDP packet
B received UDP packet
At B, when packet is being given to IP layer (from Link / MAC / Ethernet layer) , I want to get hold of packet. I want to delete the UDP and IP header in packet. I want to add TCP and IP header (assuming C is the destination host).
Now from B machine, packet is sent to C machine
Can somebody help me how this can be done. I am using linux machines.
Though libpcap can be one of the option (from wireshark), but it is not suitable for me because of performance reasons. I want a very light weight solution for this problem.

This data needs to be send to another device via wireless.I found one such cipher named ceaser cipher in the internet.But it looks weak and easy to be broken. Can someone suggest me robust cipher's concepts which can be done at application layer?

Can someone give me some guidance on partitioning a 4TB drive into one partition ?
My goal is to align the partition for best performance. I searched the net for advice and I've found a lot of information on it but am still confused.
After setting the label to gpt,
I tried mkpart primary 0% 100%
and I get the warning that the partition isn't aligned
then I tried mkpart primary 1 -1 (which I really hoped would get me completed)
and when I do an align-check on partition 1, it reports 1 aligned
but then when I do an fdisk -l,
I get the warning that partition 1 does not start on a physical sector boundary
I read that sector size is usually 512 bytes but on some (or perhaps all) larger disks, the sector size is 4096.
I am really not knowledgable in this area and not sure if the above message about partition 1 not starting on a physical sector boundary is important or what impact this will have to my performance. Since these 4tb drives are being used in a media server, I'd like them to be as fast and efficient as possible.
Can you offer some guidance or perhaps some commands on how to partition my (full) 4tb drive into one partition so it is aligned and also so the partition table starts on a physical sector boundary ?
Also, is there a Ubuntu utility to display the sector size of a disk?
I have been researching this issue off and on for a few weeks and would like to finally get this partitioning completed this weekend so I can get on with setting up my system.

I just cloned a Centos7 "everything install" VM to a physical disk using VMWare Workstation and Clonezilla using the instructions he https://www.howtoforge.com/convertin...cal-machine-p2
Now, when the clone (physical disk) boots up, it drops into the command line with this:

What I've tried:
1. I checked /etc/fstab and the proper UUIDs are there, including the one above.
2. Tried booting via USB stick installer into rescue mode, chroot /mnt/sysimage , and:

When I enter "blkid", I see the HD in question showing up as both /dev/block... and /dev/sdb... I tried "lshw -class disk" but it says "command not found". Finally, the rescue shell says it is mounting my disk in /mnt/sysimage and all my files are where they should be, so it appears it is seeing and mounting the HD.
Any suggestions? I am a n00b, so going off a lot of google and not a lot of understanding here.
I have windows 7 and the factory recover on 2 of the partitions That I wish to keep
I am using phpVirtualBox, and everything is working perfectly. Then something changes, and I get the following error:
