I use to use cjb.net for tunneling but for some reason they changed their site. Can someone tell me a good site that is simple for me to understand to use?
I am the webmaster of a site dedicated to the travel to the southwest of France. The site is hosted by Hostpapa (in Canada).
The site URL is: http://southweststory.com
The site is 3 yeas old and worked fine until 1 week ago when it became unaccessible to people who use the French company "Free" as an ISP. (the site is available via all other French or International ISP providers as far as I know).
I have contacted Free tech support but they are completely incompetent - I even got answers like "If we cannot see the site we cannot do anything for you" and they surely could not see it because it is THEIR company that blocks it etc.
Frankly I am at my wits end and not sure what to do next. Free is a popular company in France due to their cut prices so it is a pity to lose so many potential customers.
My question is: is there anything that Free could have changed (not sure what) that would prompt me to change any settings in the for example .htaccess file or anything like this? Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Thank you
using seamonkey web browser wen i go to a specific site the spellchecker dose not work any ideal ? just 1 site i don't understand it the rest it works fine
I've had this server up and running for over a year and just recently started getting TCP_DENIED/403 in the logs for a site we've been using forever. When users try to access the site they get "web page not available" messages in their browser. I verified the site and all other links on the site our in my white list. If I bypass the proxy it works just fine.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Following the instructions on the spotify site to install on ubuntu/debian it says:
# 2. If you want to verify the downloaded packages,
# you will need to add our public key
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys 94558F59
It's a reputable site so I did it and everything works ok.
Would this be a risky action at a less reputable site or is it more risky not to add the public key?
I ask this because i am lost and going crazy since 2-3 days.
Right now on my ubuntu pc i have qt creator and qt designer installed.
I tried to use the qt site help to understand but the explanations are a total mess for me.
i am new to this site. And this is my first question .I am having one one unusual doubt as i am using the linux for the first time which flavor would be better to use. somehow i managed to get a mint flavor .
Hi, I am a new member just doing my first post to unlock all the good features of this site. --Brian
Hey. I just got a newer computer (I have two--one home, one at work) that is more powerful. Only problem is I can't edit my Godaddy website from it. The Godaddy site comes up and I can get into it but the editing features don't work.
I've never been able to edit the site from Firefox, but I have (and am still able to) been able to edit it on the older computer from Chrome.
So yeah, I can't edit the site on the newer computer from either browser.
The only difference I can think of (both computers have Xubuntu 14.10) is that on the newer computer I installed the firewall. I may have on the older one too. I'm not sure at this point and not at the computer.
Anyway, would that firewall be a potential cause or would it be something else?
Any suggestions?
I am writing a C# application that reads all the directories and files on my Ubuntu web site and copies the changed files to my eSata drive on my workstation.
This is the code that reads all files and directories in my www folder.
System.IO.DirectoryInfo file1 = new System.IO.DirectoryInfo(pathA);
IEnumerable<System.IO.FileInfo> list1 = file1.GetFiles("*.*", System.IO.SearchOption.AllDirectories);
This is the error on my workstation accessing the web site after a few minutes.
A first chance exception of type 'System.IO.IOException' occurred in mscorlib.dll. Additional information: The specified network name is no longer available. f there is a handler for this exception, the program may be safely continued.
Any ideas on what is causing the network name to not be available. I can see the files on my Windows 7 workstation.

I am trying to learn enough to manage my own site using a VPS.
Is there some way to hide who my web host is in the DNS record? (Looking to make things more secure.)
Someone I know mentioned that I should get a "Virtual Name Server (VNS)".
Not sure that I understand what that is, or why it would benefit me.
Anyway, is there a way to make it harder or impossible to know who my web host is?
Sincerely,
Rob
