dnw is a download tool for ARM. Maybe secbulk is it's driver. I don't know much about it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Trying to install software/drivers for wireless dongle on my Fedora Linux box. I have downloaded and expanded my files into my /home/me/Downloads.
In my example: /home/cjh/Downloads/LinuxDriver4Fedora_v2.5.0.3
This is where the make file is.
I run make and get an error:
"make -C /lib/modules/3.4.2-1.fc16.i686/build SUBDIRS=/home/cjh/Downloads/LinuxDriver4Fedora_v2.5.0.3/os/linux modules
make: *** /lib/modules/3.4.2-1.fc16.i686/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [LINUX] Error 2"
The directory "/home/cjh/Downloads/LinuxDriver4Fedora_v2.5.0.3/os/linux" does exist.
What am I missing? I have run it as myself and root and get the same error.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
TIA,

OK,
Lastnight I decided to finally attempt to install the dedicated ATI/AMD Catylist drivers. After all I was successfull with the HP drivers, right...
No matter which grub selection I make, getting in is broken, except of course for the Windows XP Pro x64 entry, that works just fine. I'm here with you today, because of the Fedora 21 Live DVD, (slooooww).
Here is the drivers log file:

I just rebooted without attempting to configure the card, as per the ATI/AMD warning stating that it's important to do so, because my thinking was derailed due to seeing errors, and the install program said I needed to reboot. Afterall, I just couln't believe that with a "Failed to compile kernel module" error, it would actually keep the changes I'd made, that surely Linux had a failsafe in place for such circumstances. In other words, I'm also a newbie, and just don't know how many hoops of fire one has to jump through to be at peace with linux.
Can anyone please help be get back into my install, I've already set up so many things, there's just got to be a way, right?
Thanks in Advance!

new computer from boxes, does not install nvidia driver
Booted from USB then ran YaST, I am new with OpenSuse but have two times before installed OpenSuse on fresh HDD's and Nvidia cards with ease.
The symptoms are like when I switched from a GTX 640 that only has mother board power to the GTX 750 Ti and needed power that I did not connect at first. Until I added extra power to the graphics card I only got a single low res VGA output. This 750 card definitely has power but still can only provide single low res to VGA output.
Terminal (dmesg) ......The NVIDIA GPU 0000:01:00.0 (PCI ID: 10de:1380)installed in this system is not supported by the 304.125 NVIDIA Linux driver release. Please see 'Appendix A - supported NVIDIA GPU Products' in this release's README, available on the Linux driver download page at www.nvidia.com. .... None of the VVIDIA graphics adapters were initialized!

have tried:
1. different power cables to graphic card
2. two GTX 750 Ti cards, neither work.
3. re-installed OpenSuse
4. removed card and mother board can run two monitors in high res. DVI cables are new and work. Monitors (4) are all AOC i2367 and working.
5. added to repository 'bumblebee' which contains NVIDIA drivers and tried rebooting. I am not good at repositories yet. However, I didn't need to do this twice before on new installs with NVIDIA cards.
6. downloaded from www.geforce.com file:///home/shark/Downloads/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-346.72(1).run but when I run it error, "The file /home/shark/Downloads/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-346.72(3).run was opened with UTF-8 encoding but contained invalid characters."It is set to read-only mode, as saving might destroy its content.
Either reopen the file with the correct encoding chosen or enable the read-write mode again in the menu to be able to edit it."
Hardware list: Asus H81M-E motherboard, i5 4460 CPU, 550W power, Asus GeForce GTX 750 Ti graphic card,
Note: two graphic cards on hand, both work in another OpenSuse computer.
I am just learning Linux so I need simple step by step instructions.
Thank you in advance.
I have installed Linux 3.5 kernel and have compiled e2fsprogs as well. I have my own version of ext3 file system - lets say it is myfs. I have compiled myfs as well. Now I have few questions:
1.How to insert myfs module and where? When I do modprobe myfs (.ko file) it says module not found. When I simply do insmod myfs.ko it works but I am not sure where is it putting the .ko file. Also the displays I have added (on mkdir call) are not showing up (kernel debug level is also set to 8) when I try to create a directory in mounted folder
Makefile in myfs directory looks like this:
KERNEL_TREE ?= /lib/modules/$(shell uname -r)/build
PWD := $(shell pwd)
obj-m := iext3.o
iext3-objs := balloc.o bitmap.o dir.o file.o fsync.o ialloc.o inode.o \
ioctl.o namei.o super.o symlink.o hash.o resize.o ext3_jbd.o \
xattr.o xattr_user.o xattr_trusted.o acl.o xattr_security.o icefs.o \
transaction.o commit.o recovery.o checkpoint.o revoke.o journal.o
all:
make -C $(KERNEL_TREE) M=$(PWD) modules
clean:
rm -rf *.o *~ core .depend .*.cmd *.ko *.mod.c .tmp_versions *.markers *.order *.symvers
and I am compiling myfs from my own directory: /home/myname/soft/myfs.
Also, I don't see any ext2/ext3/ext4 directories in /lib/modules/linuxversion/kernel/fs/ -- not sure if this is right or wrong.
2.Mount is working fine. I can see myfs is mounted on /dev/sda3 by doing df -a. When I unmount It says - umount: /home/..../mnt: not mounted and then if I do df -a the file system is unmounted. This is strange as its unmounting but still throwing error.
Some Background: Directory where I have everything: /home/soft myfs/ mye2fs/ Linux-3.5/ mnt/
Step1: cd Linux-3.5 --> 1) make 2) make modules 3) make modules_install 4) make install 5) reboot
Step2: compile myfs (my version of ext3) and insert the myfs kernel module --> cd myfs/ --> make --> insmod myfs.ko
Step3: compiled mye2fs for mkfs
Step4: use mye2fs to create myfilesystem on a device --> mount --> test printk statements put under myfs modules
Hi ,
I'm new to Linux , I installed Kali linux on my pc and the wifi card isn't working ..
It is a usb wifi card , It has a cd for its driver. There is a folder in the cd called " Linux Driver " and here's what is inside it

I'd like to know the steps to install it , Thanks in advance ..
Hi
I am new to kali linux and have got a fresh install with all the current updates (without any new repositories). I am really interested in aircrack and wifi exploitation. But before i can do any of that i need to install my second network adapter, the asus n53 pcie. I am able to type this because my motherboard came with its own intergrated wifi adapter, the aetheros (something). That was working out of the box as soon as kali linux was installed, however i need a proper network adapter (the n53) to make use of my 3rd party long range antenna (it can pick up networks over 600m away ).
I am attempting to install my asus n53 pcie network adapter but have had no success at all, most likely because i have no idea what to do once i have extracted the driver. Currently it is sitting in my home folder. It has a few folders and files in it, with these being the folders
(chips, common, include, os, rate_ctrl, sta and tools)
and these being the files
(iwpriv_usage.txt, makefile, readme_sta_pci, rt2860STA.dat, rt2860staCarddat, sta_ate_iwpriv_usage.txt.)
In the readme file it says this in the instructions:
1> $tar -xvzf DPB_RT2860_Linux_STA_x.x.x.x.tgz
go to "./DPB_RT2860_Linux_STA_x.x.x.x" directory.
2> In Makefile
set the "MODE = STA" in Makefile and chose the TARGET to Linux by set "TARGET = LINUX"
define the linux kernel source include file path LINUX_SRC
modify to meet your need.
3> In os/linux/config.mk
define the GCC and LD of the target machine
define the compiler flags CFLAGS
modify to meet your need.

And this to me looks like another language. I would GREATLY APPRECIATE IT if someone could give me step by step instructions on how to install this, without skipping on anything. I will even pay 10000 dogecoin if someone helps me! I have been searching youtube tutorials for 3 hours (lol) for it and havent found anything. Please help me!
Thanks

Hi.
I'm using smstools3 and Sony Ericsson Phones to send SMS. My system did work well with 4 phones, now I want to connect 20.
The issue is that each phone generates two ttyACMXX devices using cdc_acm driver, and for limitations the driver supports up to 32 ACM devices
Code:
Aug 31 09:51:19 smsgw kernel: cdc_acm 2-2:1.1: ttyACM31: USB ACM device
Aug 31 09:51:19 smsgw kernel: cdc_acm 2-2:1.3: ttyACM32: USB ACM device
Aug 31 09:51:19 smsgw kernel: usbco registered new driver cdc_acm
Aug 31 09:51:19 smsgw kernel: drivers/usb/class/cdc-acm.c: v0.25:USB Abstract Control Model driver for USB modems and ISDN adapters
Aug 31 09:51:19 smsgw kernel: usbco registered new driver cdc_ether
Aug 31 09:51:19 smsgw kernel: usb 2-2: unsupported MDLM descriptors
Aug 31 09:52:01 smsgw kernel: cdc_acm 3-1:1.0: no more free acm devices
From the ttyACM devices created by the driver I only use the first one..
So I was wondering if it is possible to remove a ttyACM from /sys/class/tty/ttyACM1
I tried unlink /dev/ttyACM1, but it persist as a device on /sys/class/tty/
The devices are removed if I disconnect the phone, So I think would be possible also that the driver only create one ttyACM device..
Please guide me...
Thanks in advance.
