Hi,
Can someone tell me what does the error in the screen shot mean?
I suspect its something hardware related, maybe a RAM? Can someone pls confirm that to me.

Hi all!! Im new in this forum and also new at linux !!
I am installing an application that includes automatically the instalation of CentOS 6.3.
The server that hosts this application and OS had a power outage and then when i turn on the server again i get the error that you can see in this pictu http://postimg.org/image/7opm0xzel/
I have 2 disks in the system, 1 for the application and SO and other to store call recordings (thats what the application do, record calls!).
If I re-install the system it has no problem!! But i dont want to re-install the system every time i have a power outage because i lost too much and important information.
I have installed this application in other server and had no problem with power outage. In this server the diference is that it originally had raid and i "remove it" frome the BIOS. Maybe here is the problem??
Anyone can help me?? Remember im really new in linux !!
I need steps start from scratch about hosting a site on http and https in linux along with screen shot if possible. I have installed Apache.
Can you please let me know. I am very new to Linux
I have been trying to run linux on a fujitsu Lifebook t series, and have two questions. One may solve the other. First, the system settings option in the top right drop down menu does not respond. When I click it nothing happens. Second I can't seem to find the right combination of keys for "Magic Key". This Fujitsu tablet has a Insert/PrtSc key and a Delete/SysRq key. When I try the key combinations outlined in what I have read, I get a Save screen shot dialog box. This keyboard requires a Fn key to be depressed for the second half (first half/second half) of the two keys I mentioned. I have tried :
the Alt + Insert/PrtSc,
Alt + Delete/SysRq,
Alt + Fn + Insert/PrtSc,
Alt + Fn + Delete/SysRq,
All of those combinations trigger the "Save screen shot dialog".
Thanks for any insight!

Hello,
I'm trying to install Linux computer brand Positive
MS-7267 see 4.5 (945GCM5 v2)
Intel Celeron 420 1.6 GHz
2GB DDR2 memory
80GB HD
I believe he was previously with Windows 7 installed (but the original factory is Vista Starter)
I used the KillDisk for formatting, and overwrite zeros, and apparently it was all OK.
When trying to install Elementary OS (DVD) or Ubuntu (another DVD), appears the keyboard and the doll:

but later it goes to black screen with a list of errors.

Too tried the Mageia (DVD)
The following installation screen appears: http://imgur.com/KaAyBeW
I tried to add some parameters both in Mageia as The Elemetary and ubuntu (after pressing F6), as
acpi = off noapic nolapic nodma PNPBIOS nomodeset irqpoll xdriver = vesa resolution = 1024x768 and nothing, changed nothing
In Mageia, when I click install linux kernel appears the load popup and always goes to 100%, but then just goes black screen passes 10, 20 minutes and not change anything
Selecting Mageia hardware detection option appears the information below:

Hello, I'm new here and I want to start learning and getting into linux but my main problem is that I can't seem to be able to install Kubunto 15.04 onto my desktop from a live usb. I'm using a usb because I don't have a cd drive. I've tried installing some different linux distros before and didn't get them to work either. I can post the specs and info of my desktop if needed but they seem to be in working order and I don't think its a hardware problem. I used LiveUSB Creator to make my usb and I put the 15.04 Kunbunto iso file into it. I tried turning off UEFI but I'm not exactly sure what that is anyway. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Here is a photo of what happens after I turn on my desktop and it passes the beep test:

Also, if I have broken any forum rules or if you have any advice on how to make my posts better please let me know.
Hi All
Please could someone assist me with a software raid 5 array issue i am having?
About a week or so ago i was asked to have a look at a mate of mine's Company Server that had crashed after a power failure - no ups and close to 9GB data with no backup.
HP Proliant mini server running OpenMediaVault v1.9. with a software raid5 setup consisting of 4x 3TB Western Digital Hard drives
The 80GB boot drive crashed (hardware malfunction) so i replaced it and installed the server with OpenMediaVault 1.9 as was previously installed. When starting up however i noticed that none of the shares were available and upon closer inspection discovered that the raid to had crashed. I therefore re-assembled the raid but now have no file system nor any partitions on any of the 4x drives.
This is about the extent of my knowledge base when it comes to Linux, and again i don't know that i'd want to risk it with no backup of the data.
I have run fsck /dev/md1, but this reports an error 2 while executing fsck.linux_raid_member not found.
Please i am desperate for some advise!
Thanks
Wayne
I've recently bought The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, and I can't get it to work with wine no matter what I do. I've followed this tutorial, which just gives me a white screen when I run the installation exe, I've run the script from POL, which gives me the same white screen when I run the exe, and I've tried running it with just wine, giving me the same result. I've tried using opengl in the "display" tab on play on linux, which does't do anything. I've tried installing some components such as vcrun, doesn't help. I've reinstalled play on linux and wine, didn't do anything. And I've tried installing steam and then installing the elder scrolls online from steam and it doesn't do anything.
"playonlinux.log" from installation script: http://paste.ubuntu.com/11549385/
"playonlinux.log" from this video: http://paste.ubuntu.com/11549531/
When I start up the installation exe it will bring up a window that looks like this (sometimes the text doesn't show up) or bring up a crash dialog that looks like this. Then When I press "go" or the blank button depending on whether or not the text decides to show up, it will bring up a fullscreen white window and then it will shrink down and freeze, not doing anything or showing anything. Sometimes it will bring up a window like this when I press "go", frozen, saying "play on linux is installing your application."
I'm using the latest version of Manjaro, just updated. And I'm using the "video-catalyst" proprietary drivers. Note that I did get it working with my laptop by just running "wine Install_ESO.exe" and it worked fine. The only difference is the hardware and the drivers, both are running manjaro. Does it only work with open-source drivers?
If any of you have any help, I'd appreciate it. If there is any log files you need I can provide them.
