Tiny Font Printing A Libre Writer .odt Doc

Tiny font when printing Libre Writer doc.
Using Mint 17.1, HP Officejet Pro 8610
Print is so tiny it is illegible, even though font size selected is 12. Printing a text file, gedit, prints okay.
Also, if I export the .odt doc to .pdf, it prints okay.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I just dumped Win7 OS and am learning Linux.

Hello &I Have A Printer Problem

I have very recently installed Linux Mint 16 (Cinnamon) and after a hard slog managed to get wifi and my printer (Canon Pixma MG5550) installed and operating.
My problem is in Libre Office printing labels on an Avery J8162 sheet of 14 labels. I have raised a new document and had the address typed on all 14 labels (same name & address on all 14)but when printing to the actual label sheet the addresses are okay on the first line only and then progresses down the sheet printing outwith the label.
I have checked all settings and verified that they conform to what I need. Now dont know what to do and if anyone can help then I would appreciate your response.
Thank you
Tikiman

Trouble Printing Under Xubuntu

What I have here is a Dell Optiplex GX620 (stock) with a new install of Xubuntu as of May 18. It works fine except that I am having trouble printing.
The printer is an HP Deskjet 832c hooked to a Linksys BEFW11P1. The Linksys box is an old internet router/firewall/wi-fi/printserver. I am using it as a network printserver with all the other functions disabled. It's a strange setup for sure. But, over there I have another computer running Lucid Puppy 5.3.2 and it prints just fine.
This machine running Xubuntu only will print the simplest of documents. The printer setup will print a test page, Text files will print, AbiWord files will print, PDF files and HTML pages displayed in Firefox do not print.
I have been taking some stabs at trying to fix this problem by changing some settings. but no joy.
Has anyone seen an issue like this? Any pointers/ideas on where to actually look for the problem.
It seems to me that Xubuntu does not use CUPS to manage it's printers? True? Would installing CUPS be a good idea?
Thanks

Problem With CUPS Printing.

Hello,

I have cups 1.7 set up. And have a printer LaserJet P1606DN configured. But with one user, every morning the first printing gets errror "Unable to write print data: Broken pipe". After that printing works fine. Printer is set with maximum sleep time "after 1 hour".

Any ideas, what to check?

How To Fix Font Size For A Shrunken Webpage? Please Read On . . .

I have Ubuntu 14.04
Recently I was on Craigslist when my 7 month old smacked the keyboard somewhere on the bottom left corner. It shrunk the font down to like quarter size, it's so teeny I can just barely read it if I lean REALLY close . . . Does anyone know how to fix it. It doesn't do it if I change areas on Craigslist, only where I was when she hit it, which is really irritating because that's the area I use!. And it's ALL categories in that area! Even the pictures are small now. It's been this way for a month and it's driving me nuts because I use it all the time, can anyone help?

Wi-fi Printing Configuration (HP)

Hi,
This is my first visit to LinuxQuestions so Happy Thursday to you all!
When I installed Linux Mint 17 I had my HP printer attached by the USB cable. I am hoping to find out how to set it up through the Wi-Fi. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be most grateful.

Matt

ps My friend told me he recently upgraded his Windows 8.1 and the routine took away his admin rights and dumped him into a restricted user. MS want $99 to fix it. The tears have dried now but my stomach still aches like crazy.

More Command

hi guys, im having terminal trouble.

i have a libre word file called lintest.odt in the Documents directory (folder). I want to move it to the Libre directory (folder).

from the root directory i typed cd Documents and then pwd and I got

i then typed ls and i got lintest.odt

I then typed mv lintest Libre and it says

what am I doing wrong?

when i try to see the contents of the lintest file with more lintest
I got ~/Documents$ more lintest.odt

Change SSH Font Color In Terminal?

Guys,
Is there a way to change the font color, within my local terminal, every time I SSH into another machine?

I know I can set it up on each individual remote machine by adding something to my bashrc file. But, I ssh into 50 or so machines and would prefer not to ssh into each individual one. There may not be another way though?

TIA!

Error When Installing AMD Catalyst Driver

I am suffering occasional disturbances in Libre Writer. Writing can disappear at times or appear where it is not supposed to be. I have tried installing drivers for my Sapphire Radeon GPU but get ¨One or more of the tools required for installation cannot be found on the system¨ i have tried many things using sudo apt-get that people have suggested, but no success. The driver i have downloaded is the only one that came up in the search on AMD (the Sapphire site tried to send me there (got a 404 but worked out it was just the ati support site judging by url))

Specs:
PCLinuxOS KDE 64-bit fully updated
Custom PC (Asus A8R32 MVP ´board)
CrossFireX 2x Sapphire Radeon HD 3870
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual core 4200+ (i think, no sticker but says at boot)
