Welcome Installation Screen Is Not Coming In Centos I386 Installation

Hi ,

I'm installing centos i386 in VM workstation 8. But the Welcome installation screen is not appearing to select language, time zone etc and starts installing the Centos 6.5 automatically. It is not giving me an option to create filesystem, everything it does automatically...
Is there any problem in OS or VM.

Dual Boot Windows / CentOS7 Problem

I have a Toshiba Laptop that had a Dual Boot of Windows 7 and Linux Mint 17 on it and both OS's worked fine. I've been wanting to use CentOS 7 as my primary OS so that I can become more familar with RPM management and proceeded to remove my Mint installation and replace it with the CENTOS 7 installation, and the install completed successfully. HOWEVER, here's my problem.....

When my laptop starts up, I don't see GRUB nor do I have any option of selecting whether to run Windows or CentOS. It automatically loads up Centos 7. When I do a 'sudo fdisk -l', I can see that SDA1 is an NTFS drive, and when I try the following 'sudo mount /dev/sda1 /media/Main\ Drive' I get an error message saying that I can't mount an NTFS drive.

Am I missing something or is there a way to access my Windows files from within Centos. I was able to do this with Mint without an issue, but unable to see any of my windows drives because I can't mount an NTFS drive.

I have no problem with keeping CENTOS as my only OS on this laptop, however, I do need to access the files from the Window's partition, and if anyone can help me to access my files, that would be totally awesome.

Thank you in advance for reading through this and for any help offered.....

I Cannot Find It On CentOS 7 "Connect To Server."

I had used CentOS 6.6(desktop) before now install centos 7(desktop) on my pc.
In centOS 6.6 had “Connect to Server” in the Places menu, select “Public FTP” or “FTP (with login)” as the service type, enter the server name and other parameters (you can define bookmarks in this dialog box too),

But I cannot find it on centOS 7.I need to login Ftp via Connect to Server.

Trouble Installing VMware Tools On Centos 7 Minimum Install

So I'm on the last step of this article to run vmware-install.pl to start installation of my VMware tools and I'm getting this error.

[root@LinuxTest01 vmware-tools-distrib]# ./vmware-install.pl
-bash: ./vmware-install.pl: /usr/bin/perl: bad interpreter: No such file or directory.

I do a ls in the directory and it shows the installer in there.
[root@LinuxTest01 vmware-tools-distrib]# ls
bin doc etc FILES INSTALL installer lib vmware-install.pl

The only step I didnt do in this article is the prereq. first step because Yum is always trying to connect to the internet and my Centos 7 box is on a classified network with no internet access.

How To Change The Primary IP Addres?

Java Application that we are currently using, read the IP information via using sigar library(sigar.getNetInterfaceConfig()

when we use the sigar.getNetInterfaceConfig(), it brings Primary Network Interface from the

server, and this is the problem for us.

we are using Centos server now and connected with 2 of network which are eth0, eth1.

we need to gather the IP from etho0, however in sigar, it brings the ip from eth1.

It seems that primary IP of current server set as eth1.

Therefore, we were looking for answer to modify primary IP at Centos, but could not find yet.

We really want to know how to modify or set up primary IP at Centos.

Thanks for reading such a long story from us.

ps. i used CentOS6
