Xlib: Connection To ":0.0" Refused By Server Xlib: No Protocol Specified

hi all,
I'm new here.
I have similar problem with running a C project that uses GLUT/OpenGL graphics...

every run result with the two lines:

Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

sometimes the graphics works ok sometimes there is an infinite loop, but every execution result with the two lines above.

what is the meaning of these 2 lines?
Is it an Error or Warning?
How can I fix the code?

My guess is that there is a fundamental problem with the graphics Glut Library...Or that I didn't write the MakeFile OK

Please help me, I would extremly appriciate it.
Jonathan

Telnet / Postfix Connection Refused Question For CENTOS 6.4

Good Morning! I am supporting the coffee and Doritos industry with my frustration with this problem. I have been battling it for two months. I have several Red Hat books, the official Red Hat study guide, and have searched the forums for weeks with no avail. I was wondering if you have ever had this?

I am trying to "telnet server.example.com 25" or telnet in general. Both servers are running on a KVM on the 192.168.122.0/24 network.

[root@server ~]# telnet server.example.com
Trying 127.0.0.1...
telnet: connect to address 127.0.0.1: Connection refused
Trying 192.168.122.191...
telnet: connect to address 192.168.122.191: Connection refused

I can ssh, run NFS, and also run internal postfix e-mails.

IPTABLES IS TURNED OFF ON BOTH CLIENTS

Postfix and Telnet is configured on both clients, with both listening:

[root@server ~]# netstat -tulpn |grep :25
tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:25 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1802/

When I Telnet from client named 'Server' to client named 'ISCSI', tpcdump on client 'ISCSI' gives the following:

19:01:23.579330 STP 802.1d, Config, Flags [none], bridge-id 8000.52:54:00:2e:85:0e.8003, length 43

Remove Lines That Are Subsets Of Other Lines In File

Hello everyone,

Although it seems easy, I've been stuck with this problem for a moment now and I can't figure out a way to get it done.

My problem is the following:

I have a file where each line is a sequence of IP addresses, example :

Line 1: 10.0.01 10.0.0.2
Line 2 : 10.0.0.5 10.0.0.1 10.0.0.2
...

What I'd like to do, is to remove lines that are completely matched in other lines. In the previous example, "Line 1" would be deleted as it is contained in "Line 2".

So far, I've worked with python and set() objects to get the job done but I've got more than 100K lines and sets lookups are becoming time consuming as the program goes :/

Thanks for you help

Script While Loop

Hello,
I'm working on a shell script that needs to read the a file (file1) a batch (read 2000 lines at a time) and then write those lines to seperate file which I'm using to run ldapmodify command. I need to check some other file size and once this file less than 200kb, i would need to run second batch and so on until file1 is empty.
Quote:
#!/bin/bash
set -x
filesize=200
server=10.11.xxx.xx
filename=fileimport.txt
taofile1=687686.txt
taofile=/var/opt/$taofile1

stty -echo
echo -n "Enter password: "
read passwd
stty echo
context="cn=user1,ou=org1,ou=org2,o=org"
if [[ -s "$filename" ]];then
for lines in $filename
do
head -99997 fileimport.txt >> ldapreadd.ldif && sed -i '1,+99996d' fileimport.txt
if [ -s ldapreadd.ldif ];then
ldapmodify -h $server -p 389 -D $context -w $passwd -v -x -f ldapreadd.ldif &> /dev/null
echo "LDIF script is running. Please wait..."
sleep 60
if [ -f "$taofile" ];then
taofilesize=`stat -c %s ${taofile}`
# if [ "$taofilesize" -ge 200 ];then
while [ `stat -c %s ${taofile}` -ge 200 ]
do
echo " Driver is processing LDIF file. Please wait..."
sleep 60
done
fi
rm -rf ldapreadd.ldif
fi
done
else
echo "$filename file is empty. Exiting script..."
exit
fi

I have 2 issues here. first one script is not reading exact lines as specified. Some times its reading more lines some times less lines. Second issues once it run the first batch, script is exiting. Please advise.

Willingnes Parameter Change In The Protocol OLSR NS2

Hi

It's my first post,please bear with us.I write thesis "The concept of using energy metrics for route selection in OLSR routing protocol". I use the simulator ns2, and UM-OLSR patch. In tlc script I use "Energy model". How and where(in code, or tcl cript) I can change parameter "willingness" during simulation to take into account the level of battery.

pseudocode

if (battery < 1.0) && (battery > 0.8)
{willingnes = WILL_ALWAYS};
else if (battery < 0.8) && (battery > 0.4)
{willingnes = WILL_DEFAULT};
else if (battery < 0.4) && (battery > 0.2)
{willingnes = WILL_LOW};
else if (battery < 0.2)
{willingnes = WILL_NEVER};

Better Way Of Writing This Command Of Leaving Multiple Blank Lines

Hi All..

I need to give four lines of gap(Freespace) between two command outputs.

what i did was below

Code:
echo "" >>$LOG_DIR/$LOG_NAME
echo "" >>$LOG_DIR/$LOG_NAME
echo "" >>$LOG_DIR/$LOG_NAME
echo "" >>$LOG_DIR/$LOG_NAME
print "***************** LEVEL 2: Truncating  Tables: Success:  tables Truncated ***********************" >> $LOG/$LOG_NAME
echo "" >>$LOG_DIR/$LOG_NAME
echo "" >>$LOG_DIR/$LOG_NAME
echo "" >>$LOG_DIR/$LOG_NAME
echo "" >>$LOG_DIR/$LOG_NAME
# Run the load scripts.
echo "***************** LEVEL 3: Loading Dupe Check Tables: Success: Dupe Check tables Loaded***********************" >> $LOG/$LOG_NAME

Is there any better way of writing this command to leave multiple lines between two commands.

Please advise...

Cannot Startx As Normal User

On a fresh install of Arch with little more than openbox installed when I try to startx as a regular user this is the feedback I get:
xauth: timout in locking authority file /home/tim/.Xauthority
xauth: timout in locking authority file /home/tim/.Xauthority
xauth: timout in locking authority file /home/tim/.Xauthority
xauth: timout in locking authority file /home/tim/.Xauthority
Fatal server error:
(EE) cannot open log file "/home/tim/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log"
xinit: giving up
xinit: unable to connect to X server: Connection refused
xinit: server error
xauth: timeout in locking authority file /home/tim/.Xauthority

After looking into the error someone suggested to copy the file from root user. When I try to view, less, or open the file I get strange feedback "magic cookie" and then everything starts to trip out and I cant seem to reverse it without a reboot.
