Where Can I Find Newly Installed Software In AntiX?

I installed Tor browser and Apache server from the package manager in Antix but cannot find the programs to run. I updated the menu but still do not see them? I installed a game and see that on the menu but not Tor or Apache? Any help is greatly appreciated.

How To Create A Bootchart In Debian Wheezy Compatible OS?

On my Antix13 (similar Debian Wheezy), I have installed bootchart2 and pybootchartgui.
I have created entries in /boot/grub/menu.lst (see below),
but there are no /var/log/bootchart.tgz as per https://www.debian-administration.or...with_bootchart or http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=38869
What should I do? I made perhaps something wrong.

Need Help Getting Team Fortress 2 Working On Ubuntu 14.10

I rescently installed Ubuntu 14.10 (AMD64) on my ASUS X53U (CPU: Brazos Dual Core E350 1.6 GHz GPU: HD 6310M, 3GB RAM) I downloaded Steam from the website, installed it, got some errors and managed to ruin everything (low res, really slughish) by just pasting commands into the terminal that seemed to make sense while I actaully had no idea what I was doing.
So I "threw everything out the window" and installed the OS fresh again.
Everything is fresh. All I have done is run the software updater and installed Grub Customizer so I can access Windows 7. (don't even have Steam installed)
So what are the exact steps on setting up all the OpenGL stuff and getting TF2 to run? (simply things to paste in the terminal would be best)
The most helpful person gets a game of their choice on Steam for under 10 euros.
I know that it should be possible to find everything myself but I just don't have the time or intelligence for that. That's why I would rather just have someone else spend time helping me and buy them a game for their efforts.

Zoneminder URL Can't Be Found By Apache2

Having tried several posts on this issue and browsing numerous conf files I am at a loss... Any suggestions beyond the reload, and apache to apache2 ln's?

Apache2 is working, I get the default page when attempting to log in via browser... Apache (not2) config does not seem to be present, I get an error when trying ln.

I can't seem to find the zm html pages and don't really understand some of the more sophisticated ways to direct to pages and scripts...

Not sure where to go next, maybe Apache manuals?

I's sure this is in the wrong place but as a newwwbie, I thought I'd throw it in here as an intro...

Looking For A Distro For A Web Server

Im looking for a distro for a web server (Apache).

Ive always used Ubuntu but I didnt think it was the best for the job so I looked around and found CentOS.

CentOS is great, really simple to use but I wanted the latest and greatest.

Im getting replies that CentOS is about stable and I cant put the latest so I see now that distro is not for me.

Im looking for a distro that is simple to setup to run a small website off of (no big traffic, if any) and with the latest possible to be installed. It will probably be Wordpress. What distros do you guys recommend that I can run cutting edge web server technology (talking Apache 2.4.12, MySQL 5.6.24, PHP 5.6.8, etc.) and upgrade as soon as a new version comes out.

Packages Skipped Because Of Dependency Problems...

Hello All

I am still working out the basics of Linux.
I have a Centos 7 install. I cannot get this RPM to install. It installs fine under Centos 6.

What am I doing wrong? I really need a GUI Find and Replace program!
--skip broken does not work either.

Thanks in advance
Scott
